Affiliate Policies & Procedures

Effective April 2026

These Policies & Procedures govern the conduct of every madtide affiliate. They are part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account and forfeiture of founder positioning.

1. Independent Contractor Status

Affiliates are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of madtide. You are responsible for your own business expenses, taxes, and compliance with applicable law.

2. Honest Marketing & Disclosure

  • Disclose clearly and conspicuously that you are a madtide affiliate and may earn a commission whenever you promote your link (per FTC 16 CFR Part 255).
  • Do not make earnings, income, savings, lifestyle, or health claims that are not documented in the official compensation plan and Income Disclosure.
  • Do not represent madtide as a “business opportunity,” “investment,” “passive income,” “guaranteed return,” or similar.
  • Do not promise that referrals will win auctions or save a specific amount.

3. Prohibited Conduct

  • No spam. Do not send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, DMs, or messaging-app blasts.
  • No misleading content. Do not impersonate madtide staff, fabricate screenshots, or alter madtide assets to imply false claims.
  • No incentivized signups. Do not offer cash, gift cards, or other inducements to people for signing up under your link.
  • No pyramid framing. Do not market madtide primarily as a recruiting opportunity. Income comes from bid pack purchases by referred customers, not from recruitment itself.
  • No paid search on madtide trademarks. Do not bid on “madtide” or confusingly similar terms in paid advertising without prior written approval.
  • No fake accounts. Do not create duplicate accounts or signups using disposable, alias, or third-party emails to inflate your network.
  • No automation. Do not use bots, click-farms, or scripts to generate clicks, signups, or bid activity.

4. Use of madtide Brand

You may use the madtide name and logo to promote your referral link, but you may not modify the marks, register domains, social handles, or business names that include “madtide,” or imply that you represent madtide officially.

5. Privacy & Data Handling

You may not collect, store, or use the personal information of madtide users for any purpose other than legitimate, individual outreach permitted under applicable law and these Policies.

6. Founder Positioning

Founder positioning (your username and referral link) is granted for as long as your account remains active and in good standing. Inactivity, violation of these Policies, or termination of your account will forfeit founder positioning.

7. Compliance Reviews

madtide may review affiliate marketing materials at any time and may require corrections or removal. Repeat or willful violations may result in commission clawback, suspension, or termination.

8. Changes

We may update these Policies as the program evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued participation after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
